Are you looking for a new role in education as a student mentor? Do you enjoy the challenge of helping young people engage in education, developing their social development and life skills?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a passionate student mentor to work within a successful secondary school in North London. Your role will be to offer behaviour support within the schools alternative provision and ensure students are happy and thriving. The position is full time, long-term with opportunities to secure a permanent salaried position.

The role:

  • Supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Helping students manage their behaviour
  • Helping students gain a better understanding of their emotions
  • Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities
  • Working as key player within the support network
  • Celebrating every success!

For your application to be successful you will need:

  • Experience of supporting children/young people
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • To be open-minded and have a positive and supportive approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have legal right to work in the UK
