We are working with a leading specialist law firm in their search for a Legal Secretarial Team Leader. Alongside some secretarial duties, the role will be responsible for managing a team of secretaries who support a busy team of fee earners.

You will:

  • mentor and coach the team
  • monitor workloads and allocate work accordingly
  • be the first point of contact for fee earners for any team absences
  • check-in with fee earners to discuss feedback and relay this to the individual secretaries
  • conduct 1-1s, appraisals, and reviews with team members
  • attend weekly TL meetings
  • deliver daily feedback to the team
  • ensure new team members are successfully integrated and trained
  • monitor any conduct or performance issues and handle according to the firm's HR policies
  • identify a deputy for each period of TL absence
  • provide support with other activities like ongoing projects
  • be involved in recruiting new secretaries
  • be involved in the salary review process

You should have senior secretarial background, ideally within dispute resolution and be able to demonstrate an excellent track record leading a secretarial team.
