About the RoleThey are seeking a Property Team Secretary to support our legal secretarial function across multiple departments including Property, Corporate, Employment, Litigation, and Leasehold Enfranchisement. The role reports to the PA of one of the firm's Managing Partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting third-party sanction checks using compliance platforms

  • Assisting with financial processes including client money transactions

  • Handling post-completion formalities including Land Registry and SDLT submissions

  • Assisting with billing and invoice preparation

  • Conducting property searches (training available)

  • Participating in KYC video calls and collecting anti-money laundering documentation

  • Downloading company data from public registries for new client onboarding

  • Performing conflict checks and setting up matter files

  • Participating in telephone call cover as part of a rota

  • Managing digital file transfers and document organization

  • Verifying bank details for outgoing payments

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar legal secretarial role

  • Knowledge of commercial and/or high-value residential conveyancing processes

  • Ability to coordinate property transactions and communicate professionally with external parties

  • Strong document production skills, including formatting and version control

  • Experience using electronic signature platforms (e.g., DocuSign)

  • Familiarity with Land Registry systems and SDLT forms

  • Ability to manage competing deadlines with minimal supervision

  • Previous experience delegating to junior team members

  • Proficiency in legal software (e.g., iManage, BigHand, MS Office Suite)

  • High attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism

  • Strong written English and proofreading capabilities

  • Client-focused and proactive in resolving administrative issues
