A well-established University in London is seeking a Commercial Legal Adviser to join their small, friendly Legal team. Based in the heart of one of the UK's most successful business regions, the University has a wealth of experience in a number of disciplines and strong connections with key industries. The campus is in easy reach from central London, and the University has invested £50 million in facilities, creating an inspiring place to work and learn.

You do not need to be a qualified Lawyer to be eligible for this post, as long as you can demonstrate the necessary experience. For example, you may currently be working as a Legal Advisor, Contracts Manager, or Senior Contracts/Commercial Paralegal, in any sector. This role would also be well suited to a newly qualified solicitor.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage own portfolio of commercial contracts to include contract review, advice and guidance, negotiation and drafting

  • Draft legal agreements and letters; prepare, negotiate, and review academic partnership contracts, commercial and other contracts under supervision of the Head of Legal Services
  • Liaise internally and externally with stakeholders
  • Support Legal Services with administrative support.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £42,609 to £51,525 per annum DOE
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Range of staff benefits (booklet available upon request), including financial benefits, health, well-being and fitness benefits, personal and professional development options and more.
  • Progression and exposure - by joining this small, experienced team you will gain career-accelerating exposure to a highly varied workload
  • Modern campus and facilities

Please note that this is an office-based role 5 days per week on-site at the university campus.
