Compliance Assistant, Insurance

Oliver James are partnered with an incredibly well- established Insurance Broker, who are recruiting for a Compliance Assistant to join their brand- new City of London office. For this role, you will be required to work flexibly in the office 2 days per week.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for someone with a year's experience in insurance and compliance, who is looking to develop their skill set, and advance their career to new heights. You will be able to gain excellent exposure and take on new challenges.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date on changes in industry regulations and laws.
  • Regulatory reporting and regulatory returns.
  • Provide advice to the business on the challenges and changes to regulation.
  • Assist with horizon scanning and deep dives.
  • Assist in preparing compliance reports and documentation.
  • Participate in key compliance training.
  • Review compliance policy documents.
  • Support the wider compliance team with ad- hoc admin duties.

Key Skills:

  • Experience working within compliance in insurance is essential.
  • A can- do and highly proactive attitude.
  • Ambitious and able to take initiative.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Strong administrative skills with a focus on detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
