Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded law firm based in Lewisham, London, for a driven and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable legal team with a strong caseload of complex immigration matters. The role offers hands-on experience across a wide range of applications and legal proceedings, with full office attendance required.ROLE:                  Immigration ParalegalLOCATION:          Lewisham, London (Full-time, Office-based)SALARY:              £25,000 to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)About the Firm - Our client is a respected and growing law practice specialising in immigration law. Known for providing expert legal advice and client-focused service, the firm is seeking a paralegal with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for immigration law to join their expanding team.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting solicitors with the preparation and submission of immigration applications.
  • Drafting legal correspondence, applications, and case documents.
  • Maintaining client files and managing case progression.
  • Conducting legal research and preparing supporting documents.
  • Liaising with clients, the Home Office, and external agencies.
  • Assisting in the preparation of appeals and judicial review proceedings.
Immigration Casework Will Include:
  • Naturalisation and British citizenship applications
  • Tier 2 (Skilled Worker) visa applications
  • Sponsorship licence applications for employers (Tier 2)
  • Tier 4 (Student) visa applications
  • Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
  • Entry clearance applications
  • EEA/EU national cases and EU Settlement Scheme
  • Deportation and removal matters
  • Bail applications
  • First-tier Tribunal appeals
  • Judicial Reviews
Candidate Requirements:
  • Legal qualification (LPC, LLB, or LLM) – essential
  • Previous experience in immigration law is highly desirable (minimum 1 year preferred)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and drafting abilities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Commitment to full-time office attendance
