Contracts and Procurement Solicitor

Rate: 50-55 per hour - Negotiable DOE

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Contracts & Procurement Solicitor to join a high-performing Legal Services team in London.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist legal advice across complex, high-profile matters, directly supporting the Council in delivering its strategic priorities and ensuring compliance with evolving procurement and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert legal advice on contracts, procurement law, Subsidy Control, governance, and related commercial matters.
  • Manage a mixed caseload of complex and routine contract and procurement matters.
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts, contract engrossments, and legal implications for governance reports.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Solicitor entitled to practise in England and Wales.
  • Strong, demonstrable experience advising on public contracts under the Procurement Act 2023, Public Contracts Regulations 2015, and Concession Contracts Regulations 2016.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
