Senior Legal Counsel

Can be based in either London, Leeds, or Norfolk
( 2 days per week office, 3 days from home)
Senior Legal Counsel is required to join a multinational insurance company permanently.
As the Senior Legal Counsel, you will;
- Working closely with the technical underwriting team and internal stakeholders to review, develop, and refine standard and bespoke policy documentation
- Provide legal advice on commercial insurance policy wordings and endorsements
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
- Ensure policy wordings meet evolving coverage issues
As the Senior Legal Counsel (Policy wordings), you will be;
- Qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales or a foreign jurisdiction but must have experience in London market
- Have significant experience in drafting, reviewing and managing commercial policy wordings
- Ability to collaborate with underwriters, brokers and external partners to negotiate and refine policy wordings and policy documentation including complex wording queries
- Understanding of Financial Lines and London market wordings ideally
- Candidates from private practice or insurance are encouraged to apply
