Your new companyYou will be working for one of London's train operating groups, supporting the continuous running of multiple key overground railway lines across the capital. With over 5000 staff and responsibility for over 200 stations, you will be part of a team delivering meaningful rail projects to support communities right across London.Your new roleAs a Category Manager, you will be responsible for building out the first-ever category strategies and driving the implementation moving forward. You will be responsible for managing FM and Railway Operations across the group. You will be responsible for building out and developing relationships with key senior stakeholders to ensure procurement can add maximum value to the business. You will be leading high-value tenders across your given categories, ensuring the business operates in line with UCR and PCR regulations. What you'll need to succeedYou will need to have a strong grasp of either the UCR2016 or Procurement Act 2023 regulations and be comfortable operating within these regulations. Experience in running UCR/PCR compliant tenders, outside of framework agreements is crucial for this position. Experience working within the rail sector is critical, to ensure you can hit the ground running and build relationships with technical stakeholders from day one. Ideally, you will be MCIPS accredited or working towards this qualification. What you'll get in returnYou will receive a competitive base salary of up to £68,000 p/a depending on experience and suitability to the role. You will be entitled to 25 days of annual leave p/a as well as private medical cover for yourself. Alongside this, you will be eligible for the final salary pension scheme, along with a range of free/discounted travel options.
