The Head of Operations will take ownership of the Supply Chain function, will lead the company's finances and will be a key player in the expansion of the business.

Description

  • Manage the end-to-end Operations function: involving key areas like Procurement, Supplier management, Supply/Demand Planning, Inventory Management and Logistics.
  • Institute and maintain planning systems to control both raw material purchases and production output.
  • Maintain accuracy of stock record keeping, rotation and picking disciplines to minimise stock losses.
  • Provide costings for both made in house and brought in products, track variances and drive improvements.
  • Support inbound transport and customer delivery schedules to reduce cost and maximise efficiency and customer service.
  • Order raw materials and finished goods in line with sales and production forecasts.
  • Evaluate the introduction of software into the company and develop existing systems that maximise customer service and productivity and maintain business effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain a KPI infrastructure to control performance and costs.
  • Provide sales analysis and associated systems to support business development.
  • Provide all other adhoc reports, analysis, performance data and record keeping as required to improve business performance.

Profile

  • +5 years' experience in Supply Chain & Operations Management in the Food industry.
  • Knowledge of purchasing disciplines, batch costing, forecasting & demand planning.
  • Hands-on experience working with stock systems and manufacturing work flows.
  • Excellent Excel skills and financial modelling capabilities.
