Our client, a leading financial services firm are seeking an experienced Procurement Consultant to support them on an interim basis as they build maturity across the division. The focus of this role will be developing and implamenting aProfessional Services Category Strategy with the ambition to transition this category to BAU by the end of tenure.This is a critical hire for our client and we are looking for individuals with prior experience in this space.
Though growing rapidly, this was until recently a greenfield environment and consequently there is a need to be flexible and add value to the wider team where possible whilst delivering against key deliverable.
Essentials to be Considered for the Role
- Have past experience building and implementing Professional Services Category strategies.
- Have experience in regulated, financial services environments
- An SME across Professional Services and ability to business partner with SME's and be the sole point of contact.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with experience in leading high value, complex negotiations
- Good working knowledge of contracts, with the ability to modify and negotiate the required changes in the spirit of the relationship and contract.
- Good data analytics skills with the ability to understand financial, economic, risk and contractual data
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
Desirable Skills/Experiences:
- MCIPs OR CIPs qualification
- Exposure to technology procurement would be an advantage, but only if complemented with extensive professional services sourcing.
- Understanding of EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing
