New Vacancy - Head of Marine Loss AdjustingLondon/Hybrid

I am currently partnered with a leading Loss Adjusting firm who are seeking a Head of Marine to join their team.

This role will be responsible for conducting and supervising Marine Claims (Cargo, Hull & Liabilty) generated from the London Market. You will be responsible for coordinating work between existing clients and will help to develop a Business Development strategy to help grow. My client is seeking someone with extensive experience in Loss/Field Adjusting a variety of Marine Claims across the world, and this role will come with frequent travel too.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing survey requirements, claim details, and client needs to prepare comprehensive project plans.
  • Assessing and evaluating marine-related claims, including cargo, hull, and liability matters.
  • Coordinating all marine marketing activities in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Exploring opportunities for speaking engagements or sponsorships at global marine industry events to enhance sector visibility.
  • Following up on leads from existing clients and cultivating strong client relationships.
  • Identifying and pursuing new leads to expand the global marine client base.
  • Generating new business through marketing trips and meetings with Insurers, Brokers, and Claims Settling Agents.
  • Producing and maintaining regular operational reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) as required.
  • Monitoring team performance continuously and addressing any resourcing or performance-related issues as needed.
  • Ensuring marine team members have access to relevant academic materials and professional resources to support their development.
  • Collecting and sharing market intelligence across global marine teams.
  • Resolving operational issues on behalf of the local marine team.
  • Maintaining strong connections between local offices and the London market.
