Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: Up to £60,290 per annum - DOE
Hours: 42 hours per week 4 on / 4 off alternating days and nights
Shifts: One week of days followed by one week of nights
Key Responsibilities of this Maintenance Engineer position:
- Diagnose and resolve automation, electrical, and mechanical issues during breakdowns.
- Deliver continuous improvement projects on site.
- Implement engineering strategies consistently and efficiently.
- Complete improvement projects on time and within budget.
- Support site performance by focusing on KPIs such as OEE and CCOs.
- Maintain high standards of safe working practices.
- Provide training and coaching to operators and junior engineers.
Requirements of this Maintenance Engineer position:
- Must be apprenticeship-trained (time-served) with an electrical bias, supported by suitable experience.
- Experience working within the FMCG industry, ideally food manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills and ability to train and coach junior engineers.
- Enthusiastic and motivated, with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Alternatively, C&G 2346-03 Electro-technical Experienced Worker qualification.
- HND/HNC qualification and relevant electrical certifications.
