Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - £40k plus Overtime and Call Out - South London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work on a large healthcare contract in South London 

Working for a large service provider the mechanical maintenance engineer will work as part of a team carrying out daily planned maintenance checks and reactive repairs to mechanical plant.

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will ideally have some steam boiler experience and be multi skilled with plumbing experience

The post holder will very much be involved with the maintenance and minor works service covering a wide and varied range of mechanical equipment servicing large industrial units such as dual fired boilers and heating and ventilation distribution equipment.

Working Hours: 08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake fault finding on complex medical gas systems, MTHW /LTHW pressure heating water systems, critical systems and equipment and pressurised steam systems
  • Work involves the use of analytical test devices, specialist tools, workshop fixed equipment, portable electrical equipment, welding equipment, emergency generators, medical gas equipment (patient use) suction units, geared drives
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on all plant associated with HVAC systems.
  • Replace bearings, seals, filters, and associated components.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of general building services practices.
  • Utilize strong mechanical experience with some electrical knowledge.
  • Work on emergency lights, fan coils, AHUs, pressurization vessels, pumps.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory building regulations.

About You:

  • You must be qualified in a mechanical discipline.
  • This role includes a DS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential.
  • Possess plumbing and mechanical skills.
  • Hold experience with PPMs on commercial systems.
  • Demonstrate steady and progressive work history.
  • Show expertise in working on large-scale building services applications.
