Building Services Engineer - Prime Central London Location

Are you a qualified Mechanical Engineer with strong multi-skilled capabilities, looking for a stable Monday to Friday role in a prime London location?

We are seeking a professional and client-facing Building Services Engineer to join the on-site team at a prestigious commercial office building in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading facilities management company, offering a competitive salary, a fantastic call-out rota, and a supportive team environment where you will be a valued member of the maintenance team.





Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive repairs on mechanical plant, including Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), pumps, motors, and associated pipework.

  • Performing essential water hygiene duties, including temperature monitoring (tap temps), flushing of little-used outlets, and basic TMV servicing in line with L8 compliance.

  • Undertaking general plumbing repairs and attending to leaks and blockages.

  • Carrying out multi-skilled duties, such as emergency light flick tests, lamp changes, and basic fault-finding on electrical systems.

  • Responding efficiently to breakdowns across both mechanical and basic electrical systems to ensure a swift resolution.

  • Liaising directly with the client, tenants, and building management, providing clear updates on works and ensuring a high level of customer service.



Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in a Mechanical discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, or Heating & Ventilation).

  • Proven experience working as a maintenance engineer within a corporate or commercial environment.
