About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team within a leading Facilities Management company based in Canary Wharf. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and compliance of all mechanical systems across a high-profile commercial site.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver planned and reactive maintenance on all mechanical systems, including HVAC, pumps, pipework, and plant equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
Support the delivery of PPM schedules and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other engineering teams to maintain site standards.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and legislation.
Keep accurate maintenance records and assist with technical reporting.
Identify opportunities for improvement and energy efficiency within building systems.
Requirements
Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 / HNC / Degree or equivalent).
Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role within an FM or building services environment.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, and general mechanical plant.
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Up-to-date knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance.
