About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team within a leading Facilities Management company based in Canary Wharf. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and compliance of all mechanical systems across a high-profile commercial site.



Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned and reactive maintenance on all mechanical systems, including HVAC, pumps, pipework, and plant equipment.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.

  • Support the delivery of PPM schedules and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other engineering teams to maintain site standards.

  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and legislation.

  • Keep accurate maintenance records and assist with technical reporting.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and energy efficiency within building systems.



Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 / HNC / Degree or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role within an FM or building services environment.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, and general mechanical plant.

  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance.
