Assistant Reservation Manager
Our Client is looking for an Assistant Reservation Manager who will assist in running the department alongside the Reservation Manager. As an Assistant Reservation Manager, you will respond to guest calls, emails, and enquiries for room reservations, groups, and take reservations from enquiry to confirmation stage.
Working closely with other departments like Sales and the Revenue department to maximise revenue, ensuring all data, reporting, and systems are up to date.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Reservations Manager in leading and supervising the reservations team in handling bookings and enquiries.
- Monitor the distribution of incoming workload - including reservation calls, emails, and online enquiries - ensuring prompt response times and booking conversions.
- Support the delivery of product knowledge to team members, ensuring they have in-depth knowledge or each property (room types, facilities, services etc) including property specific policies and procedures
- Use every opportunity to promote hotel facilities and maximize sales through sound product knowledge and selling skills
- Keep accurate records of all reservations, update systems as needed, and ensure proper filing and documentation for auditing and reference.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as Assistant Reservations Manager.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken (and a 2nd language would be a plus).
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong team player.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities and the ability to lead by example.
- Must be legally eligible to work in UK.
