Facilities & Admin Assistant

We’re working with a fantastic business in Central London looking for a reliable and hands-on Facilities Assistant to join their team. This is a real hybrid role covering both admin as well as maintenance tasks at the heart of a unique building, supporting staff, tenants, and visitors to keep things running smoothly day to day.

If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in keeping things organised and well-presented, this could be the ideal next step.

Responsibilities:

  • Cover reception during lunch and evening hours (phones, guests, passes, etc.)
  • Monitor deliveries and post, maintain stock in kitchens and meeting rooms
  • Carry out light maintenance (e.g., changing bulbs, minor fixes, moving furniture)
  • Conduct regular janitorial checks and liaise with evening cleaners
  • Ensure the building is safe and secure, including locking up in the evenings
  • Assist with larger building and maintenance projects alongside the Facilities Manager

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in facilities, reception, or office support (training provided)
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable with manual handling and physically active work
  • Clear communicator with a great personality who’s happy working both independently and in a small team
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Flexible to adapt working hours during cover periods (occasional 9-5 shifts)
