Job Title: Operations ManagerLocation: Angel/Islington, Central London, UKPermanent roleOn site Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with some flexibility The role: Working for a prestigeous London University, you will be responsible for Managing the student halls of residence, housing over 600 students.   You will work closely with third parties and various departments to ensure a seamless service for the students.  The role will also oversee the Front of House Reception including the line management of staff.  The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring efficient management and exceptional service delivery. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of their properties and enhancing the experience of their students.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the hall of residence , ensuring all facilities are well-maintained and operational.
  • Manage and lead the front-of-house team, ensuring excellent customer service and student satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance and facilities team to address and resolve any property issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Handle student inquiries and complaints, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the property management team to plan and execute property improvement projects.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or Front of House Manager in a student hall of residence or high end hotel.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of property management and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.
Additional Information:
  • This is a permanent role.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to be onsite every day, and remote working is not something that can be regularly facilitated in this role.
  • Working hours are 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri, although some weekend work will be required during peak times, for example on check-in and check-out weekends.
