This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and energetic Head of Business Development (Joinery and Manufacturing) to join an exceptional company in a key role. The business provides manufacturing services - via group companies - to some of Britain’s best-known banking, hospitality and retail entities.

Operating from a state-of-the-art 80,000 square foot facility, the manufacturing processes include: joinery, metal-work, welding, benchwork, powder-coating and assembly. The company has invested heavily in the latest machinery and this is operated by a highly skilled and motivated workforce. Leveraging this capability to produce a greater range of high-end furniture and fittings for prestige customers such as banks and hotels is seen as a great opportunity. Hence the need for a dynamic and ambitious Head of Business Development to lead the approach to the market.

Suitable candidates for the role will be able to demonstrate the ability:

  • To develop and deploy a successful sales strategy
  • To secure new business through identifying and pursuing new opportunities, potentially moving into new markets with innovative ideas and approaches
  • To generate additional revenue that is profitable and sustainable and to keep driving this growth to meet and exceed targets
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with clients, specifiers and industry stakeholders through both networking and direct meetings
  • To deliver compelling and winning presentations with excellent communication and negotiation skills
