Were growing fast and were looking for an experienced Kitchen & Food Production Manager to help us scale with quality, safety, and heart.
The Role
As our Kitchen & Food Production Manager, youll lead our busy production kitchen in Acton, managing a team to deliver high-quality meals efficiently and safely. Youll oversee the full production process from planning and prep to batch cooking, portioning, packaging, blast freezing and delivery readiness ensuring every dish meets our exacting standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong operational experience in large-scale catering, central kitchen management, or food manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food production, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and adherence to recipes and portion controls.
- Manage, train, and motivate a team of kitchen staff, creating a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety and health & safety, ensuring compliance with HACCP, allergen management, cleaning schedules, and temperature records.
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet demand and minimise waste.
- Liaise with suppliers and support stock control, ordering, and inventory management.
- Work closely with the founder to continuously improve kitchen processes, efficiency, and quality.
About You
Were looking for someone whos:
- Experienced in mass or batch cooking, central kitchen, or food production environments.
- Knowledgeable about HACCP, food safety, and health & safety legislation.
- A confident and organised people manager capable of leading, training, and motivating a team.
- High level food experience & and an understanding of food production (manufacturing large quantities, packing and fulfilment)
- Process-driven and calm under pressure, with great attention to detail.
- Experienced in hiring and recruiting casual workers
- Passionate about great food (bonus if you love plant-based!) and sustainability
