Responsibilities and duties of Plant Manager role
Reporting to the Director you will:
- Oversee operations during construction and commissioning
- Set up process and safety standards
- Recruit and train the local team and ensure development of site personnel.
- Ensure compliance with international best practice
- Tracking costs for project and outages
- Create and manage budget and financial spend taking financial responsibility for the plant.
- Ensuring that the facility is operated efficiently and that all performance targets are met or exceeded.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Ideally qualified with a degree in a relevant Engineering field.
- HNC / HND / ONC or similarly qualified candidates with relevant work experience will be welcome to apply.
- Ideally hold an IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent in Health & Safety.
Personal skills
The Plant Manager role would suit someone who is:
- At least 5 years senior management experience on a Large Process Plant with; Energy from Waste, Waste Recycling, Aggregate, Quarry or Concrete Plant experience.
- Strong man-management and leadership skills with proven experience in successfully achieving plant KPI's.
- Familiar with Engineering standards and legislation such as PSSR, LOLER, PUWER etc.
- Proven Budget/Commercial/Strategic experience.
