Warehouse Operative
Our client, a global finance organization and well-known brand, is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a keen interest in hardware and technology to join a small, friendly team focused on hardware repair and testing. The role involves fixing and testing IT hardware while meeting team production targets.
The roles will be based inCanning Town (DLR stop - Star Lane). Full training will be provided, but experience of fixing electronics and technology testing would be a bonus. Applicants without experience must demonstrate their aptitude with technology during an interview, such as by describing their personal interest and knowledge of current technologies.
This is temporary contract for 3 months with possibility of extension starting ASAP.
Applicants must be reliable and have a stable job history.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Repair and test IT hardware (eg: Keyboards)
- Meet team production targets
- Adhere to health and safety procedures
- Adapt to an environment of constant change and learn new technologies
- Update senior staff members on project status
Requirements / Skills
- Reliable, conscientious team player whose passion is to work to provide a great service
- Previous experience in a similar environment (e.g., working in a warehouse, production line, or IT hardware repair and testing)
- Understanding and willingness to adhere to health and safety procedures
- Ability to work in an environment of constant change and learn new technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated experience or personal interest and aptitude in technology testing and repair
- Quick learner
- SAP RP1 knowledge / experience is bonus.
