About the Role
Vision for Education is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Rowing Coach to join the sports department at one of London’s leading independent schools. This is a part-time position, ideal for a coach passionate about developing young athletes and fostering a love for rowing in a supportive and high-achieving environment.
You will work with students across a range of abilities, from beginners to competitive rowers, helping them build technical skills, teamwork, and resilience both on and off the water.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality rowing coaching sessions on the water and in the gym.
- Plan and oversee training programmes tailored to student ability levels.
- Support the preparation and participation of crews in local and national regattas.
- Promote safety, discipline, and sportsmanship at all times.
- Collaborate with the school’s PE department and other coaching staff.
- Contribute to the positive sporting culture and values of Dulwich College.
Requirements
- Previous experience coaching rowing (preferably in a school or club setting).
- A recognised Rowing Coaching qualification (e.g. British Rowing Level 2 or equivalent).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one through Vision for Education).
- A genuine passion for developing young rowers and promoting wellbeing through sport.
