About the Role

Vision for Education is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Rowing Coach to join the sports department at one of London’s leading independent schools. This is a part-time position, ideal for a coach passionate about developing young athletes and fostering a love for rowing in a supportive and high-achieving environment.

You will work with students across a range of abilities, from beginners to competitive rowers, helping them build technical skills, teamwork, and resilience both on and off the water.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality rowing coaching sessions on the water and in the gym.
  • Plan and oversee training programmes tailored to student ability levels.
  • Support the preparation and participation of crews in local and national regattas.
  • Promote safety, discipline, and sportsmanship at all times.
  • Collaborate with the school’s PE department and other coaching staff.
  • Contribute to the positive sporting culture and values of Dulwich College.

Requirements

  • Previous experience coaching rowing (preferably in a school or club setting).
  • A recognised Rowing Coaching qualification (e.g. British Rowing Level 2 or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one through Vision for Education).
  • A genuine passion for developing young rowers and promoting wellbeing through sport.
