Air Conditioning Engineer

Our client are seeking a skilled and reliable Air Conditioning Engineer to join theirgrowing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of air conditioning systems across residential, commercial, and industrial environments. You will play a key role in ensuring that clients receive a high-quality service with systems running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair air conditioning systems, including split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, and packaged systems.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive maintenance calls.

• Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to restore system performance.

• Complete F-Gas leak testing, pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigerant charging as required.

• Ensure all works comply with current health and safety regulations and F-Gas legislation.

• Provide clear service reports and communicate effectively with customers on work carried out.

• Assist with project planning and support wider engineering teams where required.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent).

• F-Gas 2079 Category 1 certification (essential).

• Proven experience in air conditioning installation, servicing, and fault-finding.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems relevant to A/C units.

• Good problem-solving skills with a proactive, customer-focused attitude.

• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with VRV/VRF systems and larger-scale commercial installations.

• Knowledge of ventilation and heating systems (HVAC).

• IPAF or PASMA certification.

• CSCS/ECS card.
