BMS Service Engineer – Central London 

We are currently seeking experienced BMS Service Engineers on behalf of a leading building services company, due to continued project growth in London and the South.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to join a forward-thinking team focused on sustainability, energy efficiency, and smart building technologies.

Role Overview:

As a BMS Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising Building Management Systems across various commercial sites. The role combines hands-on technical work with client interaction, system improvement, and project leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance and updates of BMS hardware/software.

  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to uphold system reliability.

  • Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently to minimise system downtime.

  • Optimise systems for energy efficiency and occupant comfort.

  • Lead small to medium BMS upgrade projects, including scheduling and budgeting.

  • Liaise with contractors to ensure delivery to specification and timeline.

Documentation & Reporting:
  • Keep accurate records of system configurations and maintenance activities.

  • Produce comprehensive PPM reports and highlight any remedial works needed.

  • Provide performance updates and system improvement recommendations.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

Education:

  • Degree in BMS, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical discipline (preferred).

  • HND or equivalent qualifications with relevant experience also considered.

Technical Skills:

  • Practical experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Tridium, Cylon, or Schneider.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, automation, and energy management.

  • Familiarity with protocols like BACnet, Modbus, or LON.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset.

  • Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills.

  • Able to work independently and manage workload efficiently.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year in a BMS engineering or related role.

  • Must be eligible to work in Ireland – sponsorship is not available for this role.
