About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s on-site facilities team at a prestigious commercial building in Moorgate. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-established and reputable facilities management company known for delivering high-quality services across London.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical maintenance on HVAC systems, pumps, valves, pipework, and other plant equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
  • Monitor and maintain building systems including chillers, boilers, AHUs, FCUs, and BMS systems.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Liaise with the on-site facilities team and external contractors to ensure smooth operation of building services.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and report any issues or recommendations.

 

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar mechanical maintenance role within a commercial building environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical plant.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience working in high-end commercial or corporate environments.
  • Additional qualifications in plumbing or air conditioning systems.
  • Familiarity with CAFM systems and BMS controls.
