About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s on-site facilities team at a prestigious commercial building in Moorgate. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-established and reputable facilities management company known for delivering high-quality services across London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical maintenance on HVAC systems, pumps, valves, pipework, and other plant equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Monitor and maintain building systems including chillers, boilers, AHUs, FCUs, and BMS systems.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Liaise with the on-site facilities team and external contractors to ensure smooth operation of building services.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and report any issues or recommendations.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar mechanical maintenance role within a commercial building environment.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical plant.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Experience working in high-end commercial or corporate environments.
- Additional qualifications in plumbing or air conditioning systems.
- Familiarity with CAFM systems and BMS controls.
