CBW is currently recruiting for aMechanical Maintenance Engineerto carry out maintenance in acommercial building located near Victoria. This is anongoing temporary rolewith the potential to becometemp to perm. The successful candidate must bemechanically qualifiedwith a strong track record incommercial building maintenance.
Please note:This is aone-man site, so the successful engineer must be comfortable workingindependentlyand taking full responsibility for the buildings day-to-day maintenance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Experience working with hot water and heating systems
- Fire alarm and sprinkler testing
- AHUs/FCUs filter changes,belt changes, actuator changes, coil cleaning
- Pumps PPMs and strip downs (e.g. replacing seals, bearings, valves, overhauls)
- Motors PPMs (e.g. re-winds, overhauls)
- Water treatment dipslides, pH & temperature testing
- Water pressurisation units
- Calorifiers annual inspection, descaling
- Cooling towers
- Boilers resets
- Chillers resets and first-line faults
- Basic plumbing e.g. unblocking toilets
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00 17:00
- Ongoing temporary contract (temp to perm)
- £24per hour
- Mechanically qualified to Level 2 or equivalent
- Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
- Comfortable working independently in a single-man building
- Positive, proactive attitude
- Multi-skilled approach
- Good communication and client-facing skills
