Intermediate/ Senior Mechanical Engineer - Building Services - London

An established independent engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its London office. This role involves managing major clients and projects across several specialist sectors.

Role Overview
You'll oversee projects from early feasibility through to construction, ensuring they align with client briefs, budgets, standards and expected profitability. Key responsibilities include maintaining and expanding client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, tendering, and coordinating with both internal teams and external stakeholders (architects, suppliers, contractors, etc.).

What You'll Do
Lead project delivery across all stages: feasibility, design, through to construction and handover
Maintain and nurture client relationships identify business growth / new client opportunities
Manage tenders, proposals and ensure projects are profitable and meet client expectations
Oversee technical design, site inspections, and progress meetings
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (internal and external) to ensure smooth project execution
Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards, regulations, and codes of practice

What We're Looking For
4+ years' experience in Mechanical Engineering, ideally in UK building services consultancy work
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
Someone working towards (or who has) chartered status with a professional body (e.g. CIBSE or IMechE) preferred
Solid understanding of related disciplines (electrical, public health, sustainability)
Knowledge of current health, safety, and environmental policy
Proven ability to manage projects, clients, technical design, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary te
