An excellent opportunity for a proactive and experienced maintenance engineer to join a flagship, commercial property based near Liverpool Street Station. Working for a market leader within building services, you'll be part of a skilled engineering team on a highly prestigious, flagship site. This Shift Engineer position is offering job stability, continual training and genuine career develop prospects.This is a static position, following a continental shift pattern (Day and night shifts)As a Shift Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering a combination of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive engineering tasks across a range of building systems, diagnose, actively fault find, maintain and update site documents, and liaise with subcontractors.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a combination of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive engineering tasks across a range of building systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC, lighting, power, and plant equipment.
  • Carry out inspections, testing, and maintenance on systems including distribution boards, air handling units (AHUs), chillers, pumps, and BMS controls, single and three phase systems.
  • Ensure all work is compliant with health & safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and service documentation.
  • Support site operations during shift handovers and report critical incidents or recommendations for system improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with contractors, site management, and client representatives to deliver seamless service

Shift Engineer Profile:

  • Proven experience in commercial building services maintenance (electrical or mechanical bias).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a tight-knit engineering team.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, risk assessments, and statutory maintenance procedures.
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installations / Mechanical Engineering / HVAC.
  • Experience working on a high profile / flagship site - Desirable, not essential

Package:

  • £50,000 - £52,000 per annum
