We've got a fantastic opportunity for an electrical or mechanical bias maintenance engineer / lead to work on a state of the art commercial property in Liverpool Street! You'll gain a generous salary, exposure to a high end contract, additional training, opportunities to progress further and join a long standing building service provider. This is a continental shift pattern, following day and night shiftsAs a Shift lead, you will oversee an additional shift engineer, carry out planned preventive and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical plant equipment, update site logbooks, book in contractors and respond regularly to the client on site.To be successful in the role of Shift Lead, you must be fully qualified in either electrical or mechanical engineering (City and Guilds, NVQ, EAL or equivalent / higher), at least 5 years experience in commercial maintenance, great communication skills and a great knowledge of building services.Shift Lead Duties:

  • PPMs & Reactive maintenance
  • Single and Three Phase Power, Motors, Generators (on/off load tests), UPS, LV/HV switching, Shutdowns, Switchgear, Motors, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Test, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, CRAC units, Sprinkler Systems, Pumps, Belts, Bearings, Seals, BMS Operation
  • Carry out isolation of plant and systems in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with regulations.
  • Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.
  • Organising subcontractors
  • Completing logbooks and RAMS
  • Reports
  • Liaising with client representatives in respect of corrective repair works.
  • Permits to work
  • Raise and close jobs on PDA's as necessary.

Shift Lead Requirements:

  • Fully qualified in either electrical or mechanical engineering (City and Guilds, NVQ, EAL or equivalent / higher)
  • At least 5 years experience in commercial maintenance
  • Great communication skills
  • Great knowledge in general building services
  • Experience as a Shift Lead in a prior role would be desirable, not essential

Salary and Package:

  • £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
