Junior Emergency Lighting Test Engineer
Up to £28,000 P/A (depending on experience)

Full Time | Permanent | 40 hours per week

Do you have experience carrying out routine monthly testing and annual maintenance visits on electrical equipment and also providing excellent customer service?

Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting a Junior Emergency Lighting Test Engineer to join the team.

This is a full-time, permanent role. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 08.00am to 16:30pm.

In return our client are offering a salary of up to £28,000, plus 22 days rising holiday by 1 additional day per annum for every year served to a maximum of 25 days, plus 8 Bank Holiday days and birthday leave day.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • The Junior Emergency Lighting Test Engineer will be responsible for carrying out routine monthly testing and annual maintenance visits of Emergency Lighting Systems. If any faults are found during these routine test visits, they will be recorded so that the engineering department can carry out corrective actions to resolve the faults.
  • This is a trainee position so full training will be provided to learn the requirements of the above work tasks.
  • Career advancement is possible in the longer term as once the Trainee learns and develops on the job skills and knowledge associated with Emergency Lighting Systems they can advance into a more senior role carrying out more complex and technically demanding fault-finding and rectification activities.

The ideal candidate:

  • Although this is a trainee position electrical experience gained in a previous job role would be an advantage.
  • Take ownership of daily work tasks and to ensure they are completed within deadlines.
  • Deliver customer service to the highest level.
  • Good communication skills Willing to train and adapt to technological advances
  • A knowledge of Outlook, Excel & Word would be desirable
  • Must be physically fit
  • Full UK driving Licence
