Multi-Skilled Days Shift Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team, delivering high-quality building services at a prestigious and iconic site in London.

This hands-on, client-facing role involves maintaining both electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation through a combination of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance. The successful candidate will take pride in delivering excellent service standards while contributing to the overall performance of the building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver PPM across electrical and mechanical building services plant and systems in line with agreed schedules and statutory requirements.

  • Act as a Low Voltage Authorised Person (LVAP), maintaining electrical distribution and lighting systems.

  • Undertake mechanical and electrical fault finding, repairs, and minor installations as required.

  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed to the highest standards and within SLA timeframes.

  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance certification.

  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with clients and on-site representatives through professional and proactive service delivery.

About You:

  • Recognised Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship / trade qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (essential for electrical bias).

  • LVAP certification (essential); HVAP certification or willingness to achieve it (desirable).

  • Strong technical knowledge across both electrical and mechanical disciplines in a building services environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in PPM, reactive maintenance, and fault diagnosis within commercial sites.

  • Sound understanding of statutory compliance and safe systems of work.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
