A fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in media sales.  As a Sales Executive, you will be trained to sell across both print and digital advertising for our marketing leading consumer magazine and website.

We also run a series of live exhibitions across the UK, that offer great potential for cross selling as you gain experience.

We’re looking for someone highly energetic and motivated who can quickly understand our market. The role reports to the Sales Director.

Trainee Media Sales Vacancy Spec

Build It is the leading self-build & renovation magazine in the UK. It is targeted at consumers who are seeking to create their dream home either via a new build or a major renovation or extension. Our readers are high spending and our advertisers are therefore businesses offering high end products and services to this audience. The dynamics of the market are such that although it is a consumer brand, the readers have spending power more commonly seen in B2B media.

We have invested heavily our brand and our team, and as a result in recent years Build It magazine has moved from 3rd to 1st place in regards to its ABC audited circulation figure.

Responsibilities of role:

  • Managing an existing client base who already advertise.
  • Developing new business from chosen sectors primarily via telephone but also via email and face to face.
  • Selling Classified advertising, email promotions and web advertising.
  • Working with the rest of the sales and editorial teams to enhance the brand.
  • Representing Build It at live exhibitions and at out Build It Awards Ceremony.
