We are searching for an Outside IR35 contract worker for our Client based in London for a period of up to 3 months as they look to begin their production process for micromobility vehicles.  Ther are based in West London and ideally looking for someone with a high level of skill and experience in automotive/motorsport/aerospace sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Physical assembly of prototype and production vehicles, and test/development assets
  • Supporting continuous improvements activities such as fault management and build process developement
  • Maintaining MES dashboards with live status of production jobs vs the production schedule
  • Carry out quality and EoL checks on completed vehicles and sub-systems, as well as rectification where necessary
  • Support production line implementation and tooling introduction
  • Support the on-boarding and training of new technicians
  • Attend and contribute to daily status meetings, providing updates on build status and faults

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of Prototype/Bespoke/Development builds within Automotive, Aerospace, Motorsport, Micromobility sectors
  • Skilled hands-on technician with experience of a range of complex mechanical assemblies
  • The ability to interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings in a range of formats including Lightweight 3D CAD models and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with one or multiple MES and Fault Management systems
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced ambiguous environment
  • Organised and methodical ensuring processes and quality standards are upheld without compromise
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to communicate efficiently and professionally with the wider team
  • Strong Health and Safety mindset with adherence to all relevant company policies

Bonus Points for:

  • Electrical and/or electronics assembly experience
  • Fabrication skills such as Sheet metal fabrication, welding, manual machining
  • Workshop management/controller experience”
