Job Title: Senior Geotechnical Engineer

The Role:
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-profile projects from feasibility through to construction. You will be involved in ground investigations, geotechnical design, risk assessment, and providing technical leadership within multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, manage and interpret ground investigations.

Carry out detailed geotechnical design and analysis (foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, etc.).

Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and design documentation.

Collaborate with civil, structural, and environmental teams on complex engineering projects.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally within a consultancy environment.

Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related field (MSc/MEng preferred).

Strong knowledge of UK geotechnical standards, codes, and design software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Oasys).

Chartered or working towards chartership with ICE or a relevant institution is desirable.

Excellent communication and report writing skills.
