About Us

We are a well‑established, expanding primary phase that is highly successful in ensuring children in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 achieve well and fulfil their potential. We are committed to high standards of teaching, learning and personal development.

The Role

We are looking to appoint a Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher (suitable for ECTs) to cover maternity leave for one year, with a start date around February / April 2026.

You will be responsible for driving the academic progress of your class, ensuring high levels of pupil achievement, and contributing positively to our school ethos. You will work under the direction of the Vice Principal and other post‑holders, and play a full part in school life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, teach and assess lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and strategies.

  • Set ambitious targets for pupil progress, adapting planning based on assessment and prior learning.

  • Maintain high expectations in behaviour, motivation, presentation of work.

  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with special educational needs.

  • Participate in whole‑school procedures (behaviour, homework, assessment, reporting) and contribute to the enrichment curriculum.

Person Specification / What We Are Looking For

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status

  • Ability to teach Key Stage 2

  • ECTs or experienced Teachers are welcome to apply

  • Strong classroom management, planning, assessment and differentiation skills.

  • A commitment to raising achievement and driving improvement for all pupils.

  • Ability to work well in a team, under leadership, and participate fully in school life including meetings, reporting, parental contact etc.

Salary & Contract Details

  • Salary: £40,317 ‑ £62,496 per annum (Inner London Scale)

  • Contract: Full‑time, fixed term maternity cover (1 year)

  • Start: February or April 2026
