Primary Teacher - Special Needs School - Chiswick - Full-Time - Temp-to-Perm - December Start

Primary Teacher Responsibilities:

Teach across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, delivering creative and engaging lessons adapted to meet diverse learning needs.
Plan and implement personalised learning programmes, ensuring each child is supported according to their individual needs.
Use multisensory, practical, and differentiated teaching approaches to promote engagement and progress.
Support children with mild to moderate additional needs, including communication difficulties, developmental delays, and learning challenges.
Work closely with a highly skilled team of teaching assistants who provide consistent in-class support.
Collaborate with therapists, SEN specialists, and senior leaders to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback and fostering a positive home-school partnership.
Maintain a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment where pupils feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.

Primary Teacher Attributes:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience in SEN settings or an eagerness to learn and develop within this area (full support and training available).
A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet a wide range of learning styles and needs.
Strong behaviour management skills rooted in empathy, patience, and positive reinforcement.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a committed team.
Commitment to full-time work in a temp-to-perm capacity, with the intention of becoming a permanent member of staff.
An Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one.
