EdEx are working with an Outstanding Primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham, in search of a Primary Teacher, looking to take on an English Lead TLR.

Primary Teacher English Lead Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development: The English lead collaborates with teachers to develop and refine the English curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards and the school's educational goals.
  • Resource Management: Overseeing the selection and organization of resources, including textbooks, teaching materials, and digital tools, to support effective English instruction
  • Professional Development: Providing guidance and training to teachers on best practices in English teaching,
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: The English lead observes classroom instruction, provides feedback to teachers, and conducts regular evaluations of English teaching and learning outcomes, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency
  • Parent and Community Engagement: Communicating with parents and caregivers about English curriculum, student progress, and ways to support literacy development at home, fostering positive partnerships between home and school
  • SEN Support: Collaborating with SENCO to ensure that English teaching meets the needs of students with diverse learning abilities, providing tailored support and accommodations as needed
  • Cross-Curricular Integration: Promoting integration of English language and skills across the curriculum, working with colleagues in other subject areas to reinforce skills in various contexts
