Music Teacher – Hackney

Person Specification – Music Teacher:
•    UK QTS essential, or currently working towards this ready for September 2025.
•    Has a relevant degree or equivalent

•    Has strong subject knowledge and can deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
•    Embraces a consistent, warm but firm approach to behaviour and routines
•    Believes in high standards and holds every student to them
•    Sees feedback as a key tool for growth – for students and themselves
•    Wants to be part of a team that works collaboratively to raise outcomes
•    Is enthusiastic about contributing to extra-curricular opportunities such as ensembles, concerts or productions
•    Is either an experienced practitioner or an ECT eager to learn and grow

The Role – Music Teacher:
•    Full-time, permanent position from September 2025
•    Teach music across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5 if desired)
•    Plan and deliver high-quality, well-structured lessons with clear progression
•    Contribute to the ongoing development of the music curriculum
•    Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
•    Take part in school concerts, enrichment clubs, and trips
•    Support the ethos and values of the school and its wider community
