Part-Time Music Teacher | SEMH Secondary School | Totteridge & Whetstone | Start September 2025

We are looking for a part-time Music Teacher to join our specialist SEMH secondary school in Totteridge & Whetstone from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to help students find their voice, build confidence, and explore musical expression in a supportive, therapeutic setting.

Music Teacher Role:

  • Teaching engaging, practical music lessons to secondary-aged students, including those working towards GCSE and BTEC qualifications

  • Designing a creative and inclusive music curriculum that encourages self-expression and emotional literacy

  • Supporting students in developing both musical and social skills

  • Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to provide tailored support for each learner

  • Making music a positive outlet for emotion, identity, and personal growth

Music Teacher Requirements:

  • A passionate and versatile music educator with experience teaching in secondary settings

  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs is an advantage

  • QTS/QTLS is required

  • Strong classroom management, a calm presence, and a flexible, student-led approach
