We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming, mainstream 3-form entry primary school in Walthamstow, East London, seeking a passionate and creative Part-Time Music Teacher to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to lead inspiring art lessons across the school - just one day a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging music lessons to pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
  • Foster a love of music through a broad and creative curriculum
  • Support pupils' musical development in singing, rhythm, composition, and performance.
  • Contribute to school events such as assemblies, concerts, and celebrations.
  • Play an active role in promoting confidence, creativity, and self-expression through music.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A talented individual with a strong background music and a passion for teaching
  • Has experience teaching music to primary-aged children in a school setting
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for music education.
  • Can engage and inspire pupils of all abilities to develop their musical skills and enjoyment.
  • Is confident leading class and group singing, and comfort using a variety of instruments.
  • Works effectively as part of a collaborative, supportive teaching team.
  • QTS is desirable but not essential - strong practical experience and subject knowledge will be highly valued
