Membership and Professional Standards Manager (Engineering Industry) - £44k to £46k annual OTE bonus – Central London

A professional membership organisation within the Engineering industry, is looking for an experienced Membership & Professional Standards Manager to join the team. The role will be to initiate, develop, implement and manage membership and professional standards activities, including auditing of compliance and memberships. The post holder will also be responsible for membership, registration and accreditation, to be the interface between the organisation and awarding bodies, to manage the small Membership and Professional Standards team, as well lead acquisition and retention strategies using data insights and collaboration with marketing.

SALARY ETC:

  • £44k to £46k OTE Annual bonus
  • Central SW London
  • Hybrid working, with 2-days a week in office
  • Permanent, full-time

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in a similar role within a professional membership organisation.
  • Appropriate operations engineering knowledge.
  • Ideally with experience of academic organisations, accredited engineering courses and engineering professional body registration procedures, or similar.
  • Understanding of a Professional Engineering Institute
  • Experience in collaborating with committees including the preparation of agendas, papers and minutes.
  • Experienced in personal data management, security and analysis.
  • 5 years proven experience in a management position.
  • A proven ability to lead, coordinate and manage teams towards the achievement of goals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Good organisational skills, able to prioritise workload and experience of using a CRM system like Dynamics.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Implement policies relating to maintenance of professional standards.
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of services to members.
  • Coordinate the Membership & Professional Standards Committee.
  • Advise members and non-members on requirements for registration.
  • Train peer groups involved in assessment and accreditation activities. Manage approval and accreditation of courses and qualifications.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of the membership team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Plan and implement effective renewal processes with timely reminders. Design targeted acquisition campaigns with marketing and communications.
  • Use data analysis to identify leads and re-engage lapsed members. Manage renewal campaigns and encourage members to update details.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Membership Team.
  • Develop and review membership registration and accreditation procedures.
  • Implement bi-annual internal audits.
  • To provide advice to members and non-members on relevant qualifications and careers opportunities.
  • To develop and maintain initiatives and partnerships with external bodies and institutions.
  • To produce and manage budgets for all the above.
  • To provide advice and support to the Executive Director as required.
  • To administer committees, working parties and sub-groups as required and act in an advisory capacity to them. To administer and attend the Membership & Professional Standards Committee and act in an advisory capacity
