Deliver Driver - Central London & surrounding Counties (Full-time)
We have a Temporary vacancy for 1 week for a reliable and self-motivated Delivery Driver
This is a leading supplier of cleaning consumables, janitorial supplies and floor cleaning machinery. Based in Lower Sydenham (South East London), we have a range of Customers across many business sectors including Healthcare, Hospitality, Education and Local Government. Our Customer include St Thomas' Hospital, Guys Hospital, North London Hospice, Royal Trinity Hospice, Schools, Colleges and many, many more.
Our Customers are based both within Central London and the surrounding Counties and we consider ourselves to be a lot more than just a logistics "box shifter" and as such we require on occasions our Drivers to offer a more personal service by delivering to an individual person or place inside a building rather than just to a delivery deck.
You will be delivering products in both loose boxes and pallets of product to our various Customers.
The ideal candidate must be a good communicator - both face to face and over the telephone, patient and well disciplined to meet our Customer needs and demands.
You need to be well organised and able to manage your paperwork both at a Customer's Site and back in our Offices.
Our main vehicle is a 3.5 tonne, Luton bodied, tail lift van. So you need to be able to drive this larger vehicle and have experience of driving in built up, narrow streets.
Your normal working week will consist of 40 hours. The normal start time is circa 6:30-7:00am through to 3pm (roughly), Monday to Friday and your working day will start and finish their day at our Lower Sydenham Offices - SE26 5BW.
We do have additional overtime hours available too.
