Art/DT Teacher – Exciting Opportunity in Greenwich!

GSL Education London Branch are delighted to be recruiting an Art/DT Teacher for a vibrant coeducational secondary school and sixth form in the Greenwich area. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and creative Art / DT Teacher who is ready to inspire young people and contribute to a supportive and forward-thinking department.

As an Art / DT Teacher, you will bring energy, imagination and high-quality teaching to the classroom. The school is looking for an Art / DT Teacher who can motivate students, deliver engaging lessons, and help maintain the high standards of teaching and learning across the department. If you are an enthusiastic Art / DT Teacher seeking your next rewarding challenge, this role is perfect for you!

Responsibilities of the Art/DT Teacher:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Art and DT lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Prepare creative resources and support students with practical work.

  • Assess, monitor and record student progress.

  • Contribute to the wider school community and department development.

  • Support with general cover responsibilities if required after Christmas.

Requirements of the Art/DT Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology in a school setting.

  • Strong classroom management skills.

  • Ability to inspire creativity and confidence in students.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A passion for supporting students’ learning and development.
