Are you a qualified accountant with experience in the charity or housing sector, ready to step in and make an immediate impact? Do you thrive in high-pressure environments and have the ability to deliver accurate financial reporting under tight deadlines? Are you available for a 6-month contract to support a charity through a critical year-end process?
My client, a well-respected charity, is seeking an Interim Year-End Project Accountant to join their finance team and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of their year-end reporting. The role is critical as the charity has encountered some setbacks and requires hands-on support to meet financial reporting deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the year-end process and ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Reviewing and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Supporting the preparation of the charity’s financial statements and statutory accounts.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any outstanding issues.
- Providing financial analysis and insight to ensure the charity’s accounts reflect the true financial position.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience in charity or housing sector accounting to step into a hands-on role during a critical period and ensure the charity meets its financial reporting obligations.
The role offers an immediate start with a 6-month contract, with work conducted remotely to drive the year-end process forward.
To be considered, candidates should:
- Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Have previous experience in year-end accounting and financial reporting.
- Have experience working in the charity or housing sector, ideally with knowledge of sector-specific regulations.
If you’re ready to contribute your expertise and help a charity meet its year-end deadlines, apply now!
