Position: Minibus Driver (Part-Time)Location: Hammersmith and Fulham, LondonRate of Pay: £16.51 per hourHours: Approximately 20 hours per week (shifts may include evenings and weekends, with most starting at 09:30 AM)Contract Type: Ongoing role for the right candidateAbout the Role:Red Personnel is recruiting on behalf of the Aschurch Centre in Hammersmith to support their Options Service, which empowers adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical/mental health needs, dementia, and complex conditions. This role is pivotal in ensuring safe, reliable transport for service users, enabling them to access day opportunities that promote independence, dignity, and a fulfilling life.Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a minibus to transport service users to/from the Aschurch Centre and other locations.
  • Assist passengers with boarding, alighting, and securing mobility aids as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, well-presented vehicle, performing basic safety checks and reporting issues promptly.
  • Adhere to scheduled routes and timetables while remaining flexible to occasional changes.
  • Uphold a compassionate, respectful, and patient approach when interacting with service users, staff, and caregivers.
  • Complete logbooks and administrative tasks related to journeys.
  • Collaborate with the Options team to ensure a person-centered service aligned with users’ needs.
Requirements:
  • Valid UK Manual Driving License, preferably a clean license.
  • Enhanced DBS Check (we can facilitate this if needed).
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults or in a care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and a calm, empathetic demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varying shifts as required.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to safeguarding and dignity.
