If so, Signature Recruitment is looking for a Scanning Supervisor for our client, a prestigious London University. This assignment is full time with an immediate start and will run for four to six weeks and is fully based on campus.
As a Scanning Supervisor, your role will be to support in supervising a small team of Scanning Assistants in a new pilot initiative at the university - a scanning project which will focus on electronic scanning of examination scripts.
You will be responsible for leading an efficient and accurate scanning service, as well as ensuring the appropriate recording and logging of times taken to complete scanning activities are completed. You will be calm and focused with the ability to work well within service-critical timeframes to ensure that processes and procedures are followed, and examination papers are made available to exam markers. In addition, you may provide other general administrative assistance to senior leadership as is required.
Scanning Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising the preparation and scanning of examination documentation using MFDs or Scanners
- Working effectively and efficiently in a time sensitive environment whilst checking the clarity and quality of scanned documentation
- Ensuring documents are correctly named in accordance with naming-conventions, recorded and logged
- Coordinating the scanning process and also gathering data and reporting to senior leadership
- Dealing with questions and queries arising from the work and signposting to others when necessary
- Assisting with other ad-hoc administrative duties in order to support the team, project and wider university
Scanning Supervisor Key Skills:
- Experience in a Higher Education setting with good use of technology and with supervisory or leadership experience
- Proactive with good organisation and time management and the ability to work well in a busy time sensitive environment - leading others in a personable and professional manner
- Good communication skills - able to communicate effectively with staff and academics and other stakeholders
- Highly proficient IT skills - using appropriate software including MS Outlook and SharePoint
