School Technician - DT, Art, Science & General Support?? Locations: Schools across Merton, Wandsworth & Croydon?? Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only (38 weeks + INSET days)?? Start Date: ASAP or September 2025

Are you a practical, adaptable, and organised individual with a passion for supporting learning?We are recruiting School Technicians to work in vibrant and inclusive secondary schools across Merton, Wandsworth, and Croydon, providing hands-on support in Design & Technology (DT), Art, Science, and other practical subject areas.

?? Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and set up materials, tools, and equipment for practical lessons across DT, Art, and Science

  • Support teaching staff during practical sessions and demonstrations

  • Maintain and organise stockrooms, workshops, studios, and labs

  • Ensure all tools, machinery, and chemicals are stored and used safely (in line with COSHH/CLEAPSS guidance)

  • Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment as needed

  • Support general classroom and technician duties across departments

? About You:
  • Practical and safety-conscious, with good organisational skills

  • Confident using tools, materials, or lab equipment (training provided)

  • Previous experience in a school, workshop, studio, or laboratory environment is desirable

  • Understanding of health and safety protocols (COSHH, CLEAPSS, etc.)

  • A team player who is flexible, reliable, and able to work independently when needed
