We are currently working with a leading European Construction company, known for innovative projects and a commitment to excellence, who are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team during an exciting period of growth.

Position Summary

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to provide effective technical and operational support for our payroll function. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and accurate payment of our employees while maintaining strict compliance with all HMRC and pension regulations. You will join a collaborative team committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing & Compliance: Provide professional technical and operational support to ensure the successful running of the payroll function by published deadlines. Ensure timely processing of data to meet HMRC Real Time Information (RTI) requirements.
  • Data Management: Assist with reviewing new starter and leaver documentation, accurately entering data into the payroll system in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Financial Administration: Help prepare reports for management authorization of BACS, HMRC, and pension payments. Process expense claims and administer season ticket loan requests and salary advances.
  • Pension Scheme Administration: Assist in the administration of the company pension scheme in accordance with Pension Regulations, including monthly submissions, AE routines, opt-outs, and AVCs.
  • Statutory Compliance & Reporting: Support the administration of all statutory absence and payments (maternity, paternity, adoption), ensuring compliance with legislation. Assist with IR35 compliance demands and answer queries from external agencies like HMRC and DWP.
  • Query Resolution: Provide information and assistance to colleagues and staff members to help them understand complex payroll and pension queries (PAYE, NI, Salary Sacrifice).
